The Queen’s Gallery showcases art works and antiquities from the Royal Collection, and holds special exhibitions. The Gallery, which opened in November 2002 by Her Majesty The Queen as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, is situated in a Victorian building that forms part of the ‘Palace of Holyroodhouse’ complex.
The building was originally used as the former Holyrood Free Church and Duchess of Gordon’s School. Scotland’s heraldic lion is carved in stone on the entrance of the Gallery.
The Gallery is open to the public daily.
