St Giles’ Cathedral is the historic City Church of Edinburgh, and its distinctive crown spire is a prominent feature of Edinburgh’s skyline.  The Church, which dates from the late 14th century, is located on the Royal Mile between Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace.

Also known as the High Kirk of Edinburgh, it is the” Mother Church of Presbyterianism” and holds the Chapel of the Order of the Thistle.  Notable monuments include those of James Graham, Marquis of Montrose, Archibald Campbell, Marquis of Argyll, and Robert Louis Stevenson.

The Church holds 5 services each Sunday and approximately 14 acts of worship each week.  Additionally, guided rooftop tours are available, allowing visitors to enjoy spectacular panoramic views across Edinburgh, as well as a look inside the clock tower.
