The Scottish Parliament building is located within the Holyrood area of central Edinburgh. The Parliament is open to the public six days per week, and visits to the building, as well as tours, are free of charge. While no bookings are essential to visit the building’s public areas, including the Debating Chamber, shop, café and exhibitions, reservations are recommended for guided tours and to attend debates and committee meetings.
Tours include Parliament Tours, Architecture Tours, Art Tours, History Tours and Literature Tours. Free maps and information leaflets are available for self-guided visits.
As this is a working Parliament, activities vary depending on the day of visit.
