We have recently launched our newest initiative– an indoor camping experience, to cater for our younger guests. The indoor camping experience can be added onto any room reservation at online checkout (or when you call our Reservations team direct) and costs £20 per tent, per night. This includes a camping tent for two pitched right inside the hotel room, sleeping bag and torch per child, lanterns and animal-themed string lights for happy campers. All our tents are made from fire retardant materials too. The indoor camping experience is now available to be booked.
The unforgettable adventure begins with a welcome pack and freshly made treat from the popcorn cart on arrival*in Reception and includes take-home gifts. There are 2 items that each child is allowed to take home included as part of the camping experience - one storybook and one small soft teddy. We also have a treasure trail around the hotel for children to take part in, not to mention lots of grounds to explore.
So what exactly is included in the in-room camping experience? The following list is based on 2 children, the maximum number of children we recommend to sleep in the tent:
Tent for 2, sleeping bag and torch per child, lantern and animal-themed string lights. There are also 2 items that children are allowed to take home - one storybook and one small soft teddy each.

Kids Eat Free
Did you know that kids stay and eat for free when staying with a full paying adult? (Offer applies to a maximum of 2 children aged 12 and under per one paying adult).
Children can enjoy a complimentary breakfast when their grown up is booked on a bed and breakfast package and this applies to guests who are booked on a room only rate and pay on the day too. For dinner; up to two children will be able to dine complimentary from the children’s menu when dining with an adult that has a main course - this offer valid is in both the Pentland Restaurant and our Brasserie. Enjoy!
Children's Afternoon Tea (NOTE: not available during August 2020)
We have also launched children’s afternoon tea, featuring colourful sandwiches, cakes and goodies.
Children’s afternoon tea is served daily between 2pm-4pm –perfect for little ones and parents to enjoy a special treat together.

**Indoor Camping Terms:
Dalmahoy’s fire retardant tents sleep up to 2 children max.
Children of any age are able to enjoy the experience, but it’s perhaps most suitable for children aged between 4 – 10 years.
Additional supplement of £20 per tent applies and tents are subject to availability.
